摘要

Urethral stenosis, which is rare in women, may be congenital or acquired. Extensive stenosis is frequently secondary to inflammation. The treatment for urethral stenosis may include urethral dilation, internal urethrotomy, and urethral reconstruction. A vesicovaginal fistula frequently results from hysterectomy, either abdominal or vaginal. Therapeutic options consist of bladder drainage and surgical repair, depending on the size and location of the fistula. Minimally invasive surgery is the current trend in health care. Transvaginal sonography, allowing high-resolution visualization of the lower urinary tract, may aid in less invasive treatment of lower urinary tract disorders. We represent a case of urethral stenosis with a vesicovaginal fistula in which a minimally invasive procedure was performed with the aid of transvaginal sonography.
