摘要

'Drinking Water Management Regulations' in the ROC are not well designed and still lack the fine tuning necessary to deal with the local environment and special domestic characteristics. In making these changes, consideration must be taken of health risks, analytical and monitoring methods, treatment technologies, water quality background information, cost-effective analysis, and social concerns. These factors are be generally classified into the three 'E's Evaluations,' i.e., Environmental, Engineering, Economic aspects. At this juncture, drinking water quality standards in Taiwan are established through a procedure of evaluation by experts and scholars in the technical advisory committee.
