N2 - Hydrazine formation took place in man after the oral administration of isoniazid. The successive excretion of free hydrazine, one of the well-known mutagens, was observed in the urine of the patients on INH-treatment. The intact INH and the other metabolites, acetyl-INH, acetyl-hydrazine and diacetylhydrazine, were also analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
