摘要
The recent search for new concepts in neuroscience and philosophy leads to interdisciplinary investigations, which are often put under the concept of "neurophilosophy". However, this happens mostly without any explicit discussion of the concept itself and the linked methodology. Therefore it is the aim of this article to define and characterise the concept of neurophilosophy as well as its specific methodological approach. Neurophilosophy is defined as an independent discipline, which deals with interdisciplinary questions and is characterised by the specific methodology of "transdisciplinary circulation". The interdisciplinary questions comprise subjects on the boundary between philosophy and neuroscience. Thereby it should be possible to establish a "transdisciplinary relationship" between theoretical hypotheses and observable facts.
