摘要

Swallowing ability declines with aging, which may cause problems such as choking in eating and difficulty in oral expression, reducing the quality of older adult's life. This study collaborated with medical experts and older adults to develop an oral-training exergame app - MusicTongue. The game design is similar to "Taiko no Tatsujin."Players can follow the music song they love and train the tongue with music beats. The game can recognize the player's movements through the Front-facing camera. After the game is finished, the game will show the training record. In the final iteration, we found that most elders can operate the game smoothly, leading to a greater willingness to perform oral-training exercises.
