摘要

Granular cell tumor is an unusual benign tumor in the head and neck regions. Its occurrence in the larynx is extremely rare. Most of the laryngeal granular cell tumors were located at the posterior half of the true cord, supraglottic and glottic area. Herein, we reported a 42-year-old male with the only presenting symptom of foreign body sensation in the throat for 6 months. Physical examination disclosed a 0.4 x 0.4 x 0.3 cm solid mass on the vocal process of left arytenoid. Total excision of this tumor mass was smoothly performed with laryngomicrosurgery. Pathological examination revealed a granular cell tumor, which was confirmed by immunohistochemical stains. This patient has been regularly followed at our clinic without evidence of recurrence for more than three years.
