摘要

We reported a case of small intracanalicular acoustic neuroma presenting as sudden deafness, acute vertigo, and facial palsy. The 6 X 8 mm tumor was totally removed through the suboccipital approach, with preservation of the facial, vestibular and cochlear functions. Postoperatively, hearing improved significantly. T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging with Gadolinium is the best method to diagnose the cerebello-pontine angle tumor if retrocochlear lesion is highly suspected.
