摘要

Transient hepatic attenuation differences (THAD) lesion is a cardinal but uncommon finding to detect hypervascular hepatic lesion. The most common causes of THAD are associated with arterioportal shunts in hepatocellular carcinoma and portal vein compression by mass lesions. We reported a 34-year-old man presenting to emergency department with acute onset of severe epigastric pain. The computed tomography showed severe form of pancreatitis, splenic vein thrombosis and an atypical location of sectorial wedge-shaped THAD in S8 of the liver. Here, we discussed the mechanisms for this rare finding.
