摘要
Acute acquired comitant esotropia rarely occurs in older children and adults. Short-term occlusion of one eye, illness or emotional stress can decompensate the underlying heterophoria. We report a case of a 6-year-old child who developed 35 prism dioptors of acute esotropia after one-day occlusion of one eye for chalazion incision. Motility analysis to rule out paretic deviation is imminent. Waiting for at least 6 months before surgery is advised.
