This proposal is focused on developing non-metal chelating chemical probes for targeting the metalloenzymes in pursuit of extracting long term therapeutic benefits in gastric cancer. In addition, the target adducts are anticipated to counter the pharmacological liabilities associated with the use of metal chelator type inhibitors. Exhaustive exploration of the heterogeneous catalysis (silica supported protic/lewis acid catalysis) for multi component reactions is planned to conducted for the generation of key structural units of the target constructs. Overall, a successful execution of this study will strengthen the credibility of non-metal chelating class of inhibitors as emerging anti-gastric cancer therapeutics and will also provide optimized reaction conditions for one pot synthetic protocols that can also be leveraged to further other important endeavors in the field of medicinal chemistry.
