Harnessing Platelet-Derived Ccl5 for Neurogenesis and Cognitive Enhancement: a Clinical-Grade Approach( I )(1/3)

研究計畫: A - 政府部門b - 國家科學及技術委員會

專案詳細資料

說明

Demonstration that the CCL5 cytokine plays a major role in HPPL human platelet lysate's ability to promote neurogenesis upon intranasal administration in animal model and clarification of the mechanism of action of the CCL5-CCR5 axis in neurogenesis. Main objective if the development of a clinical-grade, platelet-based human CCL5 product, which can be used to treat cognitive dysfunctions linked to neurodegenerative diseases and aging. This will be the first example in the world of a therapeutic platelet-derived medicinal protein products fractionated from human platelets. This realistic goal follows the translational path opened by our multifunctional HPPL that is now moving towards clinical trials in ALS patients. As demonstrated through the previous collaborations between the co-PIs, the project can lead to patent applications, 3 to 5 publications in recognised international journals, involvement of students in double MS or PhD degrees between TMU and ULille-Inserm, etc. Our team have credentials to deliver the scientific and translational targets presented in this project.
