組織簡介
臺北醫學大學以培養具備人文素養、社會關懷與國際觀之醫事專業人才為教育宗旨，秉持著這個理念，醫學系透過在選才與育才方面之多項變革，達成培養具人文關懷及社會服務熱忱的專業醫師為使命。
在選才方面，為了招收優秀與適合從醫的學生進入醫學領域，擴大多元入學管道，包括增加個人申請與繁星推薦比例、降低指定考試分發比例、招收外國學生。同時為了充實偏遠地區醫師人才、善盡社會責任，招收地方養成公費生，學成後返鄉服務。
在育才方面，目前七年醫學教育的課程設計上，一、二年級以通識及醫預科教育為主體；三、四年級實施基礎臨床醫學整合課程；五、六(clerkship)與七(internship)年級則進行臨床及醫院實習教學，並以輔以縱向的人文教學、問題導向學習及臨床技能教學，並實施跨學系整合性團隊學習課程、自選臨床教學課程、醫師科學家與國際交換實習。
