組織簡介
本科治療項目涵蓋範圍頗廣，包括肺、食道、肋膜、氣管、縱隔腔、橫膈以及胸壁疾病等，致力於先進的達文西及胸腔內視鏡微創手術之發展，秉持著以病患為中心的理念為民眾服務。目前由外科部主任禚靖教授兼任胸腔外科主任，統整及管理本科業務。全科同人致力於推廣及精進胸腔癌、含肺癌、食道癌及縱隔腔腫瘤之診治，特別著重肺癌之預防、早期診斷及治療新觀念及方式之推展；另新進資深醫師張懷陸除執行臨床及教學任務外，亦兼任本院胸腔癌團隊會議副召集人，全力協助癌症中心胸腔癌業務之發展。其間連允昌醫師自93年9月至104年4月擔任胸腔外科主任，致力於科務之推展，並於97年5月至104年4月擔任外科加護病房主任，貢獻卓著。另科內所有專任主治醫師亦肩負台北醫學大學醫學系五、六、七年級學生及PGY1之胸腔外科臨床教學訓練以及住院醫師之專科醫師訓練教學之任務；且本科自100年7月起，成為台灣胸腔及心臟外科學會所認可之胸腔外科專科訓練醫院。
