Abstract
Clinical studies revealed that when an implant is in healing process, too much occlusal force leads to overloading, the re fore it cannot achieve further osseointegration in order for bone to heal. In addition to implant stress concentration ca used by the too much occlusal force, deformation and the hydrostatic pressure can also interfere with bone healing. In this study, we use the finite element method to simulate the loading situations around the implant, to investigate the surrounding bone growth and the bone healing process in relation to the normal biting force. According to the simulation results of the study, we can deduce 20N vertical force will leading to success healing in the early stages of osseointegration. This can provide references for clinicians in improving implant osseointegration, thus a voiding implant failure due to excessive loading.
