Abstract
Three novel triterpenoids esters were isolated from the leaves of Metaleuca leucadendron in addition to the five known triterpenes ursolaldehyde, ursolic acid, 2α-hydroxyursolic acid, 3β-cis-p- coumaroyloxy-2α-hydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid and 3β-trans-p-coumaroyloxy- 2α-hydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid. The structures of the new compounds were determined by spectral methods to be 3β-cis-p-coumaroyloxy-2α-hydroxyursa- 12,20(30)-dien-28-oic acid, cis- and trans- 3β-caffeoyloxy-2α-hydroxyurs- 12-en-28-oic acids.
