Abstract
Twenty-three subjects without past injury history and clinically proved stable knees were tested for the purpose of comparing the tibiofemoral displacement measured by the Genucom knee analysis system and KT1000 arthrometer. The anterior and posterior displacements were measured with a force of 20 pounds at each of 20°-30° and 70°-90° of knee flexion. We found that the value of the mean and standard deviation in Genucom was greater than KT-1000 and significant differences (p<0.05) existed between them. We concluded that the Genucom knee analysis system acquired greater values and threshold in tibiofemoral displacement and KT-1000 achieved more sensitive clues in the detection of anterior and posterior laxity of knee joint.
