Abstract
Some representative 1‐substituted 3‐(2‐perimidyl)ureas were prepared by treatment of 2‐aminoperimidine hydrobromide with the corresponding isocyanates in the presence of triethylamine. A preliminary biological evaluation for their antibacterial and cytotoxic properties revealed that only those compounds which contain a chlorinated substituent at N‐1 exhibited some notable effect.
