Retrograde Jejunogastric Intussusception: Report of a Case

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Jejunogastric intussusception is a rare but potentially lethal complication of postgastrectomy syndrome. We present a case of jejunogastricintrussusception after Billroth II partial gastrectomy in an 87-year-old woman who was sufferingabdominal pain and vomiting bilious material. Early diagnosis and surgical intervention are critical to the management of patients with acute jujenogastric intussusception because mortality rapidly increases when surgical treatment is delayed. In this report, we describe a number of intriguing endoscopic features and computed tomographic findings for jejunogastric intussusception.
