Abstract

Reinvestigation of the long-chain cardiotoxins from Bungarus fasciatus venom reveals that they are weak phospholipases of the A2 type. The specific activities (units/mg) toward egg lecithin are 0.42, 1.65, and 0.29 for the long-chain cardiotoxins V-2, V-3 and VI, respectively.
