Abstract

Adrenal myelolipoma is a rare, benign, endocrinologically nonfunctioning adrenal tumor. They are usually small, asymptomatic tumors found incidentally at postmortem examination. Clinical diagnosis and surgical removal are extremely rare. We report a case of a huge adrenal myelolipoma, where both renal sonography and abdominal computerized tomography showed classical characteristics of adrenal myelolipoma. Interestingly, angiography showed hypervascularity, which is uncommon in adrenal myelolipoma. A left adrenalectomy was performed for tissue diagnosis and prevention of potentially life-threatening complications.
