Abstract
A series of alkylmercapto-5,8-quinolinediones were synthesized and evaluated for antimicrobial activity. The most active compounds against St. aureus, E. coli, and T. mentagrophytes in vitro were 6,7-diethyl- and 6,7-dipropylmercapto-5,8-quinolinediones.
