Abstract
The aim of this study was to present a case of gangliocytic paraganglioma and review of literature, description of
CT appearance and differential diagnosis. A 38-year-old asymptomatic man, with an increase level of CEA during
physical examination. Gastroscopy revealed a pedunculated mass with superficial erosions at the region of the
ampulla. CT scan shows a filling defect noted at the 3rd portion of the duodenum. After surgical removal of the mass,
pathology revealed a neurogenic tumor mainly located in the submucosal area of the 3rd portion of the duodenum,
with a final diagnosis of gangliocytic paraganglioma.
