Abstract
The formation of Fe3Al (D03 type) ordered phase in the ferrite phase has been identified in a dual phase twinning-induced plasticity (TWIP) steel through TEM studies. The presence of D03 ordered phase was detected in water-quenched microstructure, and its evolution during heating at moderate temperatures (200-500 °C) was properly addressed. Based on the present results, the precipitation of D03 ordered phase during heating at moderate temperatures could be considered as a new strengthening mechanism in dual phase TWIP steels.
