CT and MRI Findings of Leiomyosarcoma of the Ovarian Vein: a case report

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

Leiomyosarcoma of gonadal vein is extremely rare; only five cases have been reported in English literature. We
report a case of a 52-year-old woman who suffered from right flank pain for about 1 week; IVP was arranged and
showed a non-opacified right collecting system. Later, CT and MRI images showed a 4×3.8×3.2-cm mass at lateral
aspect of right upper ureter. This lesion was proven by histology as a leiomyosarcoma of the ovarian vein. The
radiological images, operative and histology features will be illustrated and discussed.
