Abstract

Over the past two decades, manufacturers of medical equipment have been struggling to keep pace with the demand for reliable, lightweight, and easy-to-operate medical devices for home and ambulatory use. The frequency with which new and improved devices have been coming to market makes it difficult to keep abreast of current technological advances.
