Abstract

Zona-free oocyte is widely used in in-vitro fertilization (IVF) to solve low implantation rate of IVF [1]. The process of zona-removal is tedious and also easy to harm the fragile oocyte. To simplify the zona-removal process, a three-dimensional microfluidic device with a composite porous PDMS membrane is employed in this work. Through a gentle perfusion process, this device is capable to keep oocyte intact throughout the zona-removal procedure.
