Abstract

The integration of logic function is enabling TIJ-based products to move ever further up-market. The depicted integrated circuit TIJ transducer array serves 1024 jets and includes data interfacing, jet addressing, drop generation power pulsing, and bidirectional operation. A novel printhead multiplexer data registration system has been designed and experimented. The controller can be easily adapted to different size of jet elements without much of hardware arrangement. The experimented results show that the proposed multiplexer controller can reduce the noise interference caused by the excitation of neighboring channels.
