Abstract
Neck abscesses and deep neck infections are common diseases. However, deep neck abscesses presenting as neck tumors are unusual and have seldom been described. In this report, we describe a case of deep neck abscess and persistent lymphadenopathy that presented as a hypopharyngeal carcinoma under indirect laryngoscopy and computerized tomography. The relationship between deep neck abscesses and neck tumors is discussed.
