Abstract

This paper describes a system designed to enable comprehensive geriatric assessment to be performed in geriatric care. A structured assessment incorporating the interRAI Acute Care assessment tool is administered by a specifically trained nurse assessor. This system not only can improve the timeliness and accuracy of patient care and administration information, but also reduce personnel costs and inventory levels, and improve the quality of patient care. Furthermore, making the theories and applications of geriatric care will be more extensive and convenient for researches and healthcare-related industry.
