Abstract
Nickel containing appliances are widely used in orthodontic practice. Nickel allergy is a type of delayed hypersensitivity, sign and symptom wouldn't become obvious 24~72 hrs after initial nickel contact, making first hand diagnosis and treatment difficult. The aim of this article is to review diagnosis and prevention options for managing nickel allergy.
