Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the caregiving experiences for hip fracture in elderly patients during the discharge transitional stage. Qualitative research was designe. 18 caregivers were interviewed and participated in observation after one week following discharge. Data analyzed using Miles & Huberman method. The main results were categorized as follows: 1 .care tasks, including: ADL care, walking training and rehabilitation, maintain hip in right position, safety, OPD follow up, emotional care. 2.the impact of caring, including: sleep, emotional and physical health, social activity, job, individual time, extra work. The results can guide discharge planning for elderly patients with hip fracture Professional personnel should understand the difficulties of caregivers, and propose effective intervention plans for them.
