Abstract
The advancement of information and communication technologies allows nurses to provide safe, effective and timely information and surveillance to of distant living patients, especially those who are disabled, elderly or have chronic conditions. The result of past researches showed the value of providing telenursing care in a community health nursing arena. This article examines current telenursing practice, its effects in other countries, and potential issues if implemented in Taiwan.
