腮裂囊腫－病例報告

Branchial cleft cyst is a rare congenital anomaly which was more likely to be found in children and teenagers due to infection of the cyst but in rare occasion was it discovered in adults. There is neither gender nor racial predilection. Neck swelling is the most common sign of branchial cleft cyst. Image study, fine needle aspiration cytology and histology are tools for differentiating branchial cleft cysts from other neck lesions. Surgical excision is the definitive treatment, and the recurrent rate is only 3%. This was a 26 years old female with branchial cleft cyst on the left side of her neck which was treated by surgical excision. The patient recovered well, and no recurrence has been noted to this date.
