愛滋病毒(HIV)感染者飲食營養知識及相關因素

The main purpose of the study was to understand the diet/nutrition knowledge (DNK) of persons with HIV infection. A questionnaire was developed to collect the necessary data for the study. Information requested included basic demographic data, sources of DN information, scales of DNKAP (knowledge, attitude and practices). After pretest and content validity measures, the questionnaire was modified for use in data collection. Data were collected from October 1997 to January 31, 1998. A total of 146 subjects participated the study. The majority of the subjects were male (98%). The duration of HIV infection ranged from 0.1 month to 10 years with average of 29.47 ± 37.80 months. The mean scores of DNFK was 19.45 ± 5.22 points (pts) (full score is 30 pts), the overall score rate was 65%. One out of three was below 60%. The major source of DNF was from newspapers and magazines, followed by TV and radio broadcasting, friends and relatives, health professionals such as dietitians, doctors and nurses. According to chi-square tests, among the selected characteristics for persons with HIV infection, only age had a borderline relationship with DNFK. When analyzed with general linear model (GLM) with least square means (LSM), none had a relationship with DNFK. However, The stepwise multivariate regression analyses showed that DNA, religion, DNP and economic status contributed 15% of the variance in DNK.
