Abstract
Starting with the six trends in Library and Information Science (LIS) curriculum development proposed by the KALIPER report, this article further probes into the research domains in LIS. Based on this, the authors analyze the curriculum design of all undergraduate LIS programs in Taiwan as well as the application of professional competencies of this field. Finally, the authors call on a reconsideration of the educational objectives to each LIS program. Thus, targeting the market, LIS programs in Taiwan will be able to plan the curriculum with more features.
