Abstract
Taiwan government and biomedical community have launched the pilot study for Taiwan Biobank. The purposes of this article are to review Taiwan’s ELSI studies on biobank, to analyze basic issues about biobank from policy and legal perspectives, and to propose some suggestions about legal rules and future ELSI research. By the
way, this article will also comment on the draft laws and ethics rules for the Taiwan Biobank.
