Abstract
Apart from the current long-term care system in Taiwan, this study try attempted to discuss alternatives to the elderly care patterns in Taiwan. Based on the 'Humanity Innovation and Social Practice' project from T University, we try to articulate an alternative to the active ageing of care: relationship as care. In contrast to the professional medical practice: cure as care, treating the elderly as pathological organisms, this is an innovative model of the elderly care system, and it is able to against overturn ageism by presenting the diversity of the elderly, the multiplicity of the care relationship, and bringing the elderly back to their social and cultural context.
