Abstract

This study armed to explore the satisfaction of the implementation of two-year nursing program in new trainees and clinical nursing teachers. This study design was a cross-section study based on 240 copies of constructive questionnaire for satisfaction of two-year nursing program. This study demonstrated that the most satisfied item within new trainees and clinical nursing teacher was "I can learn nursing skills by lecture". The most disagreement item was "lecture will lead to repeat learning and waste time". The clinic teachers had higher satisfaction than new trainees significantly (p<0.001). The clinical teachers from college or two-year college of technology had higher satisfaction than those from graduate school significantly. The year of clinical working and the year of teaching did not affect the satisfaction in the clinic teachers. The age, educational degree, Identity, learning course, year of clinic working, and seniority of trainees did not affect the satisfaction of training program. This study concluded that the new trainees and clinical nursing teachers should cognize that continuous or repeated clinic training course could improve the nursing skills, nursing knowledges, and the awareness of working flow for new trainees. The arrangement of lecture will not lead new trainees to repeat learning and waste time. We recommend that the Ministry of health and welfare should consistently promote the two-year nursing program and reward the clinical teachers.
