心房心律不整會降低病人存活率且增加醫療負擔,健保資料庫顯示心房顫動患者耗費巨額費用。近年發現氧化三甲胺(TMAO)為引發心衰竭與心房顫動重要因子。本計畫將研究TMAO訊息路徑於心房心律不整與心房顫動關係;分析改變TMAO路徑是否能應用於心房顫動治療。本研究將增加對於TMAO引發心房心律不整病理機轉了解,並對社會、經濟、基礎醫學研究與臨床治療之發展殊為重要。
