部分氣喘患者會持續出現氣道過度敏感、氣道纖維化、杯狀細胞增生、氣道發炎,現認為由氣道IL-6 trans signaling (IL-6TS)所引起。SERPIN B3/4 在氣喘有高度的表現。本計畫將探討IL-6TS刺激氣道上皮細胞其調控生理訊息變化,將以塵蟎過敏原刺激小鼠,以soluble gp130, anti-TLR2,4或抗內毒素抗體抑制之,檢視是否內毒素會經由Toll like receptor (TLR)引發IL-6TS反應。本計畫將揭示SERPIN B3/4在氣道上皮細胞IL-6TS反應的重要角色,拮抗SERPIN B3/4可以改善氣道上皮細胞功能失調,增進氣喘的控制。
