透過本研究將有助於了解Visual Cycle在老年黃斑部病變發生之機轉,並釐清藍光傷害視網膜上皮及神經細胞之訊息傳遞與分子機制。我們以降低產生A2E level 的研究策略來證實Visual Cycle在不同疾病傷害程度下的潛在療效。本計畫成果可供光害性老人黃斑部病變疾病的預防提供理論基礎,進而有助於治療策略的擬定。
