臨床上治療較惡性的神經內分泌分化攝護腺癌(NEPC)的效果仍然不彰,導致此類攝護腺癌預後存活率不到一年。隨著抑制雄激素受體藥物的普遍使用,可預見NEPC的患者人數將逐年上升。然而對於攝護腺癌神經內分泌分化機制的不了解讓這個疾病的治療更加困難,本研究除了增進對於NEPC誘發機制的了解,更提供臨床上預後診斷及治療NEPC一個新的可能性
