Project Details
Description
The patterns of seasonal climate anomalies and extreme weather conditions caused by global climate change has become aggravated recently. The survival and transmission of influenza virus is also influenced by different climate conditions, like temperature, humidity, and rainfall. With the availability of open/big data released by the government, the project will develop an open-resource client-based automated weather data processing platform and optimize existing influenza simulation system by integrating multiple climate parameters. The new system will be deployed on the high-speed cloud computing platform to enhance its performance. The new system will also come with a user-friendly interface which provides public health workers an easier way to access and operate the system. We hope that useful information could be provided by the system for disease control and decision support.
