桑樹中桑葉、桑枝、桑白皮、及桑椹都可為藥用,雖各藥用部位各有特色,但都可用於清肺熱、祛風濕,臨床上常用於肺炎、喘咳及關節炎處方。因此利用抗發炎、抗肺纖維化及抗關節炎為標的,分析其功效差異,並利用UPLC-QToF-MS-MS分析其化學成分,再以代謝體學之人工智慧統計軟體分析桑源藥材之活性指標差異;及應用於處方時,活性成分與功效之關係,建立桑源藥材成分鑑定系統及處方配伍原則。此結果將可提供臺灣中藥典編修桑源藥材品質之參考。繼而,根據桑源藥材及其處方組成之功效,以正交試驗設計重組,預期可開發抗肺纖維化及抗關節炎之新複方,將可幫助染新冠病毒之癒後病人,降低肺纖維化風險,及改善長者關節疼痛或行動不便。
