高位脛骨截骨矯正術為膝關節炎減壓及角度矯正的手段,在角度矯正後所填充之骨填充楔能否達到維持強度、矯正角度及促進骨癒合為手術是否成功的關鍵因素之一。本計畫預計開發一具機械強度、可降解及骨誘導能力之鎂基非晶質合金骨填充楔,其機械強度能夠提供骨癒合前之骨頭強度,骨填充楔降解過程中所釋放的鎂離子能夠促進骨癒合,預期能夠有效幫助術後恢復進程,病患能夠有效縮短術後恢復時間、降低不良事件比例、節省醫療成本及支出,也可以此計畫之經驗延伸開發出其他骨科植入物。
