Department of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology was established in August 1, 2014. Faculty members are from Taipei Medical University Hospital, Taipei Municipal Wan Fang Hospital, and Shuang Ho Hospital-teaching hospitals affiliated with Taipei Medical University.
Mission. We are committed to maintain high quality of educational programs for our medical students.
Teaching. Our teaching goals are: to provide basic concepts and knowledge in Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythmatosis, ankylosing spondylitis, Sjogren's syndrome, allergic diseases, other autoimmune diseases and osteo-immunology etc.; to cultivate physicians with refined skills in case analysis, evaluation and management of patients; to train students to be well-rounded physicians with proper medical ethics. We expect our medical students to be idealistic, lifelong learner, and prepared for variety of potentials for the future.
Research. From bench to bedside, our research includes clinical and basic research on the molecular mechanism and cytokines analysis of autoimmune diseases and osteo-immunology.
Perspectives. The collaboration of advance technology in basic and clinical research are expected to benefit the unanswered queries of our patients. We really hope there will be more young doctors and researchers who will join us our in this future battlefield medicine.
