The department is in charge of the teaching, clinical services, and research programs in the affiliated hospitals of Taipei Medical University, including Taipei Medical University Hospital, Wan Fang Hospital, and Shuangho Hospital. The faculty now includes one professor, four associated professors, and five assistant professors. We set up the standards for clinical anesthesiology practices and pain clinics in the affiliated hospitals; developed and monitored the educational programs for the medical students of Taipei Medical University, and provided joint training programs for the specialty; also, focusing mainly on programs sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, ROC, carried out clinical and basic studies relating to anesthesiology.
